Source: www.elisanet.fi., 2012. — 7 p.There are linguistic evidence of Proto-Indo-European having contacts with different language families, but none other of these contact partners so far can match the Uralic language family in the accuracy: we can reconstruct several consequent layers of Indo-European loanwords in Proto-Uralic, while the loanwords between Proto-Indo-European and Kartvelian or Semitic are somewhat more indefinite or vague by their stratification.
