The procedure for preparing for work in winter conditions, organizing snow fighting, measures to ensure the safety and uninterrupted movement of trains, the procedure for working in particularly difficult weather conditions, deadlines, a system for planning work and monitoring their implementation are described. Special attention is paid to the fact that all work on preparing farms for operation in winter conditions must be carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Rules of Technical Operation of Railways of the Russian Federation, instructions and regulations defining the procedure for maintenance of facilities and devices for each farm, as well as instructions on labor protection, industrial sanitation and other regulatory documents. The manual is intended for employees of railways, branches and structural divisions of Russian Railways, as well as subsidiaries and affiliates involved in the transportation process or performing maintenance and repair of railway transport infrastructure facilities. In addition, it can be useful for students of railway universities, students of colleges, technical schools, and training centers.
